LGS residential units’ seismic performance is much better than the traditional concrete and brick & mortar houses. Also, LGS units are lighter and are only 1/4 ~1/6 the weight of traditional construction. Therefore, the requirement on foundation is simpler and more economical. LGS unit can be suitable to most ground condition, so it is commonly used in residential architecture.
